It is used in schools, and is a 10-week program for 5 – 7 year-old children. It uses short games/activities to provide repetition to help young children recognize letters, a sound each one represents, how to learn words by sight and how to learn a word by using the sounds of its letters. Volunteer Coaches work with one child at a time and follow prescribed activities using the materials provided.

This is currently a working board that is working towards becoming a governance board. Board members will oversee the organization to ensure it adheres to the mission statement of the organization. Board members are asked to sit on one of the various committees in order to grow and strengthen the organization. Potential committee members will work directly or indirectly with the population served by the organization

1. Plans, prepares and implements program activities and learning areas 
2. Ensures the rooms are properly set up for each session 
3. Ensure documentation is completed including: attendance record, sign-in sheets, registration forms, privacy forms 
5. Maintains a safe, positive enriching environment for children through play and age-appropriate activities  
6. Role models positive child-adult interactions during group sessions 
7. Communicates with parents as needed about issues relevant to their child (i.e. behaviors, information about resources, referring to other services, etc.) 
8. Ensures program space is cleaned up after each session, and that mouthed toys are disinfected
