So our duties include removing them from their cells, bundling them into quantities of 10 and replanting anything too small to go out to the community. This requires working in our 2-4 degree bunker(underground building), some heavy-ish lifting and some moving of tree stock around the nursery.
We ask that you dress in warm clothes, layers work well. Sometimes, when the sun shines we move into the greenhouse which can get quite warm.
Volunteers of all different ages and skill levels can be accommodated. This is the position for folks who are interested in developing their horticultural skills and are comfortable working alone or in a small group. This position does not require a Vulnerable Sector check, however, you may be asked to alter your schedule for when vulnerable sector volunteers are on site.
