We now have several different positions that focus on ensuring our ethnic communities and youth group are engaged. Volunteer BBQ Servers/Attendant help serve food and soft drinks at the BBQ booth in the Food tent to visitors,
performers, volunteers, and staff. The volunteers will also ensure that the
cleanliness in the food tent is maintained at all times.

This role will also require someone comfortable and confident with public
speaking as the volunteer will be acting as an MC and introducing each act
to the audience. It is also essential to have good time management skills, as
you will need to follow the schedule and help ensure all performances are on
time.

Water Tank Attendant Volunteers - GDMF is committed to providing an eco-friendly Festival. As such, we need
volunteers to fill up reusable water bottles for visitors, performers, staff and
fellow volunteers. You will also perform routine water checks and help sell
Festival reusable mugs/bottles. Having good organization, communication,
and interpersonal skills will help you succeed in this position.

It has since moved to Riverside Park, attendance has increased from 2,000 to 25,000 people and generates cultural awareness and funding for local community groups, as well as foster economic development in Guelph and beyond.
The Guelph & District Multicultural Festival relies heavily on an enthusiastic group of volunteers. Due to Covid-19, our organization has evolved beyond just a 3-day Festival. We now have several different positions that focus on ensuring our ethnic communities and youth group are engaged. We strongly believe it is through these engagements we can create a culturally diverse and inclusive community.
Water Tank Attendant Volunteers - GDMF is committed to providing an eco-friendly Festival. As such, we need
volunteers to fill up reusable water bottles for visitors, performers, staff and
fellow volunteers. You will also perform routine water checks and help sell
Festival reusable mugs/bottles. Having good organization, communication,
and interpersonal skills will help you succeed in this position.
