PIN - The People and Information Network
To assist PIN to spread the word about youth volunteerism as part of the Youth Engagement (YE) Project funded through the City of Guelph; an initiative to provide opportunities for youth to gain Community Involvement hours, gain an understanding of volunteerism and its value and to connect with community in a meaningful way.  
 
Primary Responsibilities:  
 
• Work with peers and PIN team to plan strategy.  
• Develop listing of key local social media platforms, hashtags.  
• Recommend themes to enhance local reach.  
• Follow PIN on social media.  
• Re-gram, share, like, comment, tag local schools and youth groups to promote the project, volunteer opportunities and stories of youth volunteers.  
• As an ambassador, you will be required to sign an agreement form committing to appropriate use of social media and acting in the best interest of PIN.  
• Volunteers understand that PIN reserves the right to have final decision on all social media strategy and engagement.
PIN - The People and Information Network
Purpose of Position: To assist PIN team in the development on the Youth Engagement (YE) Project; an initiative to provide opportunities for youth to gain Community Involvement hours, gain an understanding of volunteerism and its value and to connect with community in a meaningful way.  
 
Primary Responsibilities:  
 
• Work with peers and PIN team to brainstorm, create, guide and lead the Youth Engagement Project including Weekly themes volunteer opportunities, DIY resources and existing roles with nonprofits and charities.  
• Assist in outreach; creation of new YE roles with PIN.  
• Assist in outreach via social media, word of mouth, schools, clubs, etc.  
• Assist to create a weekly info and engagement session for youth that shares and asks for feedback.  
• Provide feedback and support to the creation of a virtual summit for Fall 2021.  
 
Secondary Responsibilities:  
 
Assist PIN team in administrative tasks that support the YE Project. This may include: mailing, photocopying, filing. Volunteers may be asked to participate in PIN promotion initiatives.

To gather and tell the stories of youth volunteers in the City of Guelph as part of the Youth Engagement (YE) Project; an initiative to provide opportunities for youth to gain Community Involvement hours, gain an understanding of volunteerism and its value and to connect with community in a meaningful way.  
 
Primary Responsibilities:  
 
• Work with peers and PIN team to gather stories of impact.  
• Explain the purpose of the project, provide consent form to featured youth.  
• Interview and/or receive written content from featured youth.  
• Weave content into a written story that highlights the spirit and impact of youth volunteers. 
• Provide draft story to youth and PIN team for feedback.  
• Submit final story to PIN team for inclusion onto PIN website and social media.

To assist PIN to engage audiences with video and animation around youth volunteerism as part of the Youth Engagement (YE) Project funded through the City of Guelph; an initiative to provide opportunities for youth to gain Community Involvement hours, gain an understanding of volunteerism and its value and to connect with community in a meaningful way.  
 
Primary Responsibilities:  
 
• Work with peers and PIN team to plan strategy.  
• Utilize platforms such as iMovie, Powtoon to create bite-size engaging content for social media on topics such as: 
o where do I start? 
o how to find a volunteer opportunity 
o why volunteer? Why does it matter? 
 
Volunteers understand that PIN reserves the right to have final decision on all strategy and engagement.
