Canadian Cancer Society, Waterloo-Wellington Community Office
Work collaboratively with your Canadian Cancer Society staff partner and the Relay For Life committee members, providing leadership support and guidance in planning and holding this event. 
Serve as an ambassador and spokesperson for the Canadian Cancer Society and Relay For Life at team rallies, community events and on event day, as well as by providing weekly updates to committee members and staff partners. 
Encourage strong communication channels by being responsive to inquiries from your staff partner and the committee leads and providing weekly updates. 
Identify and assist with any gaps or areas for growth with your staff partner and the committee leads. 
Work with your staff partner to facilitate the post-event wrap up and event evaluation process. 
As event ambassador, promote online participant and team registrations, participant fundraising, and community sponsorships, as well as volunteer participation for the event success.

We are looking for volunteers to lend a hand at our first ever Habitat for Humanity Lottery Draw Party! Volunteers may be asked to assist with decor set-up, guest registration, coat check, and so much more!

The mentor's role includes: 
-        Physical activity: Volunteers supervise and encourage the children through the physical activity component of the program. They lead warm up, running workouts, and other fitness activities while cheering them on and providing encouragement. 
 -        Snack: Volunteers help to distribute snack to the students after the physical activity component. 
-        Word of the Day: Each volunteer has the opportunity to explain a "Word of the Day” for the whole group. They will share the word selected for that week (as provided in the weekly program manual) and engage feedback from the students regarding the definition and how they have exemplified it at some point in their lives. 
-        Journal: Volunteers assist children to record their accomplishments in both running and reading each week. 
-      Reading: Volunteers supervise as children read silently, read one-on-one with children or lead group reading, listen to them read and providing help and encouragement.

Volunteers are needed to drive (or ride along) the Guelph Community Health Centre's agency van to and from food provider locations within the City of Guelph. This involves volunteers working in pairs to pick up and deliver client food boxes from food banks or food cupboards and providing transportation for clients to access the North End Market. Alternatively, there is also the opportunity to deliver Garden Fresh Boxes directly to people that are unable to pick up their box from a host site. 
 
Volunteer work in teams of two for this position. One drives while the other navigates any passenger needs, reads maps or completes paperwork needed.

Trail runs from Guelph to Limehouse.Section responsibility negotiable.
Reports to Radial Line Trail Coordinator. 
Responsible for one of 8 sections of the Radial Line Trail. 
Duties include spring and autumn inspection of trail and submission of a one page trail status report. 
Light maintenance activities to ensure trail is passable and hiker friendly. 
Spring meeting with other section leaders to assess what support is necessary for trail improvement. 
Access to equipment and additional support through coordinator.
