The required commitments for a Board Director are as follows:  
• Attend monthly board meetings in person (approx. 3-4 hour time commitment per month, usually on the second Monday of the month from 6:00-8:30pm); 
• Serve on a Board committee (Executive, Finance, Nominating and Board Recruitment, Policy, Fundraising, Human Resources) (averaging approx. 3-4 hour time commitment per month); 
• Attend special events and fundraising events and encourage people in your personal network to attend as well; and,  
• Represent and be a champion of Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis in the community. 
These are volunteer positions, with no financial compensation. Board positions involve a two year, renewable, term, with a maximum of three consecutive terms.
