Salvage Crew members will be trained on proper processes, and once they have assisted in the tear-out of the kitchen, will help load it onto the ReStore truck for shipment.

This is an opportunity to make a difference for future generations. Once a year, on the Saturday closest to Earth Day, volunteers plant thousands of trees to create a mixed forest to replace 100 acres of open fields near Guelph Lake.  
 
You need to be able to walk. That's about it! Wear sturdy footwear and clothing that's appropriate for the weather. Grand River Conservation Authority and Rotary will show you how to plant trees so that they survive. Bring a friend, a family or a team from work for more fun.

School Workshop Assistants will be part of a team assisting the lead instructor with delivery of Focus on Nature photography workshops in local schools, outdoor education centres, and at special events.  
 
Duties include: mentoring students in nature exploration and photography while accompanying them on photo walks in local parks and natural areas; assisting with the importing, editing, and reviewing of student images; leading a small group activity in the afternoon as part of a series of photography/nature activity stations.  
 
Key goals of Focus on Nature are to inspire young people to explore and appreciate nature through photography, and to connect with their creativity. This is done by teaching students the "elements of design", and by exploring local natural areas as photographers, with eyes wide open to the beauty and complexity of nature. Students are encouraged to slow down and to look for the elements of design in nature, and they are reminded that nature has always acted as inspiration for art, design, and architecture. At the end of each workshop, there is a celebration with a slideshow of each students' 10 favourite images, and we give "extension activities" to teachers and students so that they can continue to learn.

The Seed is a community food project at Guelph CHC. Active Start provides fundamental movement skills and fundamental sports skills to children with special needs, ages 3.5 - 7. Volunteers provide one-to-one support to better enable the participants to succeed! This is a wonderful program to give clients the opportunity to gain valuable skills in movement and group settings.
