Guelph Community Health Centre, Guelph - Downtown Location, Family and Community Health Services
Creative Connections is a weekly program with a monthly program bonus. Volunteer work with staff to create a supportive, inclusive, friendly and fun environment.  
 
Weekly program offers a variety of arts, social and music based activities. Friday 12:45-3:15 pm 
Monthly program bonus includes Grandma Penny's crochet circle and extra snacks. 10 am - 3:15 pm. This program is well attended. 
 
Tasks include: welcoming visitors, assisting with setting up and clean up, interacting with visitors, offering refreshments and taking part in the program. Participating debriefs as needed, program planning and follow GCHC policy and procedures.

Setting up and taking down chairs and tables, arranging sandwiches and desserts to serve for a light lunch, a runner to punch holes in player cards

Up and Running Guelph
Up and Running's beginner running programs are friendly, non-competitive programs that introduce women to the mental health benefits of green exercise and peer support, giving them a new tool for improving their mental well-being. Our mentors support our coaches in delivering our running programs: encouraging and making connections with program participants and acting as "running mentors” for them during our group runs.

Volunteers will assist the residents whom live at the Health Centre to attend various recreation programs, which are planned and lead by the Recreation staff. Volunteers will assist residents to the program space, engage with the residents through conversation and motivating them to participate or enjoy the environment. Volunteers are the extra support for the staff and can provide 1:1 attention with the residents.

Active Start provides fundamental movement skills and fundamental sports skills to children with special needs, ages 3.5 - 7. Active Start targets skills such as running, jumping, catching, throwing, kicking, striking, balancing and body awareness. Volunteers provide one-to-one support to better enable the participants to succeed! This is a wonderful program to give clients the opportunity to gain valuable skills in movement and group settings.

Groups or Single Volunteers are needed to provide musical entertainment in our atrium throughout the week. This is an open opportunity to practice or perform our atrium. The sound in this space is amazing and resonates through the whole building.
