Guelph & Area Right to Life
We are currently looking for a volunteer coordinator to help us with our Caring Hearts, Sharing Hearts program. This initiative of Guelph & Area Right to Life connects local elementary school students with seniors in their area, with the goal of helping to show students and seniors the dignity, worth and value of human life at all stages.
As we are currently unable to visit retirement homes due to the pandemic, we have temporarily shifted the program to a pen-pal program, in which students and seniors write back and forth throughout the school year. Prior to the pandemic, the program involved in-person visits of elementary school classes to local retirement homes. The volunteer coordinator is responsible for connecting nursing, retirement and group homes with local elementary school partners.
