Help someone learn literacy and Essential Skills for work, learning and life! After orientation and training, you will be matched with a learner to work together regularly (probably once a week) towards their goals. Action Read will help you identify learning strategies and resources and evaluate progress.
Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario, Wellington County Chapter
This one-on-one literacy program is designed to motivate and help children aged 6-12 gain confidence and academic success in reading. It is also designed to help volunteers gain knowledge and experience in working with children who experience difficulties learning essential literacy skills.
