Duties | Call to Action: We are looking to recruit people with lived experience and allies of the LGBTQ+ Community to volunteer on our new LGBTQ+ Support Line. Volunteers in the program may also choose to volunteer for our other lines as well. Duties of the role include: • Write notes summarizing completed phone calls Engage in a variety of phone calls (social calls, safety checks, wellness checks, medication reminders, and distress line calls) to support community members experiencing isolation and/or distress • Provide emotional support and referrals to community services as needed • Use a strength-based and solution-focused practice • Write notes summarizing completed phone calls | |||

Commitment Length | Long Term (More than 1 year) ; Volunteers operate on a bi-monthly schedule where they are expected to complete a minimum of 16 hours over 2 months. For example, you may complete 8 hours each month or balance it out to 4 hours the first month and 12 hours the second month, etc. We ask that volunteers commit to 1 year of service and/or 96 hours of volunteering. | |||
