DutiesAttend year round volunteer recruitment opportunities such as volunteer fairs, career fairs, community events, etc.  
Assist with the development of the event day volunteer shift schedule. 
Ensure that all volunteers are oriented and trained for their tasks. 
Set-up and oversee an event day volunteer check-in/checkout system and to ensure all volunteer documentation is in order.  
Ensure all volunteers are thanked through letters, e-mails, and/or phone calls. 
Work with your staff partner to ensure all necessary equipment and supply needs are met, including the set-up of the volunteer registration tent. 
Provide weekly updates to committee members and staff partners. 
Attend monthly meetings. 
Commit to providing hands-on leadership throughout the actual day of the event.
