Duties• Teach participants in small groups basic home repair skills such as: 
o Using basic home repair tools (powered and manual) 
o Replacing furnace filters 
o Repairing water tap leaks 
o Hanging pictures on wall 
o installing and replacing curtain rods and blinds 
o Fixing skirting boards 
o Simple plumbing (i.e. unblocking sinks, taps, drains and replacing washers on taps, etc.) 
o Simple electrical (i.e. Clean light fittings and replace minor parts such as tubes, bulbs, etc.) 
o Erecting shelves 
o Repairing rendered walls 
o Purchasing basic home repair tools 
• Informally assess participants’ learning needs and goals through one to one interaction 
• Suggest appropriate techniques and resources to participants that align with their learning needs 
• Commitment to safe working practice and Health & Safety requirements 
• Refer to staff for any concerns, questions, and challenges 
• Assist staff during the program with set-up and clean-up of the training room
