DutiesThe overall role of the Board Treasurer is to: 
• Maintain an overview of the organization’s financial affairs 
• Monitor its financial viability 
• Ensure that proper financial records and procedures are maintained. 
Responsibilities:  
1. Carries out the responsibilities of a member of the Board of Directors;  
2. Participates in meetings of the Executive and Finance Committee; 
3. Works with the Executive Director and the Financial Administrator to ensure that appropriate accounting procedures and controls are in place and that appropriate financial reports are made available to the Board on a timely basis; 
4. Reviews the bank statements, and monitors the preparation of monthly statements for the Board;  
5. Assists in the preparation of the budget and Present the annual budget to the board for approval; 
6. Oversees, approves and presents accounts and financial statements including, review of the bank 
statement and bank reconciliation, accurate accounts of income and expenditure and deposits 
7. Reviews the annual audit, make recommendations and answer board members' questions about the audit
