DutiesActive Start provides fundamental movement skills and fundamental sports skills to children with special needs, ages 3.5 - 7. Active Start targets skills such as running, jumping, catching, throwing, kicking, striking, balancing and body awareness. Volunteers provide one-to-one support to better enable the participants to succeed! This is a wonderful program to give clients the opportunity to gain valuable skills in movement and group settings.

They are looking for those who are enthusiastic and eager to learn skills to share with the participants, as well as a strong commitment for the duration of the program.
Commitment LengthShort Term (Up to 4 months) ; One hour per week for ten weeks.
Interaction LevelOne-on-one ; Large Group ; High interaction as you will be providing one-to-one support to a participant for the duration of the program.

Additional RequirementsIt is very important for the children participating in this program to have the same volunteer each week. This definitely contributes to the success of each participant. 100% commitment is required.
