Food Access Volunteers play a very important role by linking community members to the food they need. This in-person role includes pick-up of hampers/boxes from emergency food providers, food cupboards or food banks and delivery the food to Guelph CHC clients. Pick-ups and deliveries are made within the the City of Guelph. Deliveries are to the door only, volunteers are not required to enter homes. This position requires volunteers to have access to a vehicle and be able to lift 20 to 30 lbs. Mileage fees are provided. This role is immensely helpful for our clients with transportation barriers.
