DutiesVolunteers are needed to deliver meals to clients in the Guelph area. Deliveries are done in teams of two (one driver and one runner). Volunteer positions are available for both tasks.

ClientsMeals On Wheels clients are seniors and adults with disabilities who need assistance in order to meet their nutritional needs

Interaction LevelOne-on-one - This position is a moderate level of interaction. Volunteers interact with their delivery partner during routes and briefly with each client.

Meals on Wheels drivers who like distance driving are needed. Rural route coverage needed in North Wellington.
TrainingOrientation - Introduction to the organization. ; Training on the job - Mentoring/coaching training is available.
TransportationCar required - For drivers only. Runners don't need a vehicle.
CostMileage compensation is available for the driver.
Police CheckRequired
Additional RequirementsA clear Vulnerable Sector Check (police check) is required for this position, and can be done through the Guelph Police station.  
A driver's abstract is required for volunteers applying for the driver position. Driver's must have a valid driver's license, insurance, and a vehicle to deliver.
