DutiesThe Kitchen Salvage Crew will help remove kitchen components from private homes and businesses, thereby increasing the number of kitchens available for sale in the ReStore. By selling more kitchens, Habitat will increase their revenues and overall funding to Habitat's mission. Salvage Crew members will be trained on proper processes, and once they have assisted in the tear-out of the kitchen, will help load it onto the ReStore truck for shipment.

Skills/ExperienceWilling to train Kitchen Salvage Crew. However, some basic tool knowledge and skills would be an asset. Salvage Crew members must be willing to work with others and should be able to lift 20-35lbs.

Kitchen Salvage Crews are scheduled on an as needed basis, with a minimum one week’s notice. Tear-outs will take place Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. In general, a Kitchen tear-out requires 3-4 hours to complete.
