DutiesVolunteers will assist instructors during dance, music, theatre and visual arts classes, and provide supervision and assistance to campers during the lunch break.

Skills/ExperienceVolunteers must be comfortable working with children and willing and able to be physically active and give and follow directions. Volunteers must be 14 years of age and starting grade 9 in September Minimum. This is a high energy group so volunteers must be prepared to engage with campers, be on feet most of the day, and maintain enthusiasm. Volunteers must also be willing to support the instructors as needed. 
Creativity, good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills are considered an asset. Preference given to individuals with experience working with children, in a team environment and basic First Aid.
Commitment LengthOne Time / Special Event ; Short Term (Up to 4 months) ; Camp Summer runs over 4 weeks July 2-5, July 8-12, July 15-19 and July 22-26, 2019 
While preference will be given to people who can commit to volunteering to week long sessions, Guelph Dance will also accept those who can only commit to certain days (2 days minimum commitment). Volunteers are needed from either 8:30-3:30 pm or 9:30-4:30 pm. Friday until 4:30pm.

Additional RequirementsVolunteers will spend time outside with the children during lunch breaks, weather appropriate clothing is required. Volunteers will need to bring/wear comfortable clothing and bring their own lunch and drinks (nut-free please). A police check is required for Leaders over the age of 18. These checks must be obtained from the Guelph Police in advance of camps. The police checks are free to volunteers.
