DutiesOur current need is for MALE volunteers for our groups.
A Big Bunch Volunteer will be a positive role model and mentor to a group of children. Volunteers will work together to plan and implement outings for the group. They will meet with the group on a consistent basis, usually 2 times per month and will transport the children to and from the event. The volunteers and children will participate in fun activities such as crafts, games, sports, watching movies, etc. Volunteers and children are matched based on age preference and needs of the group.
More Info
BenefitsVolunteers receive training in child safety, child development and communication skills. The experience gained presents an opportunity for personal/career development and satisfaction as a result of experiences, training opportunities and support. Volunteers also feel a sense of fulfillment because they have provided a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment for children. This is a smaller time commitment than the one-to-one volunteer and volunteers can choose the age group that they would like to work with.
For the child, this relationship will provide acceptance, guidance, support, companionship and new experiences.
