DutiesMentors are matched with a child that they meet with for one hour each week through the school year. This meeting takes place during the school day and on school property. The mentor and child mentee will participate in fun activities together such as arts & crafts, cooking, reading, sports, games and talking.

Partnerships exist with most area public and catholic schools in the Guelph area including Aberfoyle, Rockwood, Eramosa, and Puslinch.
TrainingOrientation - Provided ; Scheduled training ; Training on the job ; In School Mentor training and an interview. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph will provide on-going support as well as, assist with ideas for fun activities.
TransportationNear public transit ; Access to a vehicle is recommended but not required. Most participating schools are on the city bus routes. The agency will do its best to match volunteers with a child in a school near their place of work or home.
CostThere is no required cost to the volunteer.
