DutiesCum Pano is Latin for with bread, loosely translated it can mean "the person with who you share your bread". The volunteer task of supporting at mealtime may seem simple, but to the resident and patients it means that someone cares!

BenefitsMost of us look forward to mealtime. It's an important part of our day, not only for nourishment but for socializing and a natural transition through the day. Residents and patients at the Health Centre really enjoy having a volunteer to socialize with and also to assist as necessary with their mealtime. This is a great opportunity to build social skills, learn about the Health Care environment and hear amazing stories from residents and patients.

Skills/ExperienceCommunication & Interpersonal Skills ; No experience required. All volunteers require is a sincere desire to assist the residents and patients and make their day brighter. The Health Centre will provide the necessary training.
Commitment LengthMedium Term (4 months to 1 year) ; Short term or Long Term. Schedule is flexible and can be accommodated accordingly throughout the year.
Interaction LevelSmall Group ; One-on-one with a resident; however you will be in a dining room environment with other staff and residents.

Additional RequirementsAgency interview and references required. Also completion of the Immunization form. Details will be further discussed at the interview.
