Description (Agency) Offers tangible, compassionate assistance and care to those in need in the Guelph community and abroad, through immediate relief, and ongoing support, with the goal of a greater level of independence.
Description (Service) During the COVID-19 emergency, the Food Market and Clothing Markets ARE STILL OPERATING for registered community members with appointments. Call 519-265-4299 or e-mail to book a food market appointment. Take-away community breakfast available.

Non-essential programming is paused due to COVID-19. These programs WILL NOT operate until permitted to do so: Chords of HOPE, Community Breakfast, Krafty Corners, Circles, Cafe meals, Public Health Clinics, Healthy Living Club programs, Counselling, Acupuncture, Out of the Cold

Programs and services include:

* HOPE Stylin’ (clothing bureau and salon)

* Circles (assists low-income families move toward independence)
* Guelph Community Backpack Project (coordinated by HOPE House in partnership with Guelph Neighbourhood Support Coalition and Salvation Army); collection, packing, and distribution of backpacks and school supplies for children and youth throughout Guelph
* Harvest of HOPE
* HOPE for the Holidays (Christmas hampers; Christmas brunch; cookie exchange; photos with Santa; affordable, pay-what-you-can Christmas market)
* HOPE in Motion
* HOPE Smiles (dental care program for community members who volunteer or participate in Circles)
Hours COVID-19 -- The Food Market operates on an appointment-based system for registered community members of Guelph or Wellington County. To register through an intake worker, call 519-265-4299 or e-mail Mon-Wed 9 am-4 pm, Thu 9 am-6 pm

During COVID-19, food orders are delivered. Prior to the scheduled Food Market appointment, HOPE House will contact the community member to take the grocery order. It will then be packed and delivered to the person's home on the day and time of the appointment.
