Description & Services
Description (Service) Bereavement walking group intentionally designed to lend support to clients impacted by grief and bereavement, through gentle physical exercise. The goal is to create a supportive atmosphere for clients to share their grief journey with others, or to participate in only the physical aspect of walking, based on their comfort level.
Each walking date begins with a warm up, followed by 35-40 minutes of outdoor trail walking for up to two kilometres, and ending with stretching, led by the facilitator.
In cases of inclement weather and during the winter months, an indoor walking track is available at the site location, allowing the group to consistently run, rain or shine.
