Description (Service) | Program that assists adults who have acquired traumatic or non-traumatic injury to the brain that is impairing their independence and ability to function in the community. Services include: * recreational and therapeutic activities including art, gardening, music therapy, cooking, discussion groups and games * staff assistance for participants and their families to cope with stress and challenges in adjusting to changed circumstances in all areas of private and work lives * peer support and companionship * comprehensive assessments * individualized program planning |

Eligibility | Ages: 16 year(s) and up Primary diagnosis of acquired brain injury from a qualified physician or medical specialist * currently living at home or in community housing * completion of a participant-based intake package * certified by a physician to be medically safe Participants must meet program requirements for level of support required for eating, mobility, washroom use and peri care needs. Must be medically stable upon intake and be capable of safely and successfully benefiting from the social, recreational goals of the day program. |
