Description (Service) | Free to Grow at Home Program: Because many activities have been cancelled during summer 2020 due to the pandemic, the Children's Foundation has adapted the Free to Grow program to create a new support initiative, Free to Grow at Home, that encourages children and youth to participate in recreational and life skill development activities while enhancing their well-being and healthy development. The program's goal is to provide recreational equipment, supplies and resources for children to have fun while playing at home. See Free to Grow at Home program for more information. * recreational kits for physical and creative play and learning * kits to be delivered to families' homes by volunteers * activities include games, puzzles, books; arts, crafts, gardening; sports / outdoor activities NOTE: Recommended safety protocols are being used when packaging and delivering all Free to Grow at Home kits Free to Grow Program (to resume after pandemic when public health restrictions are lifted): Financial support for children and youth from low-income families so that they can participate in sports, arts, camps and other recreational activities, as well as life-skill development opportunities such as babysitting, driver's training, tutoring and more. **Funds of up to $400 per child, per year are available for the child’s choice of activity |

Eligibility | Ages: 18 year(s) and under Families with incomes below the low-income cut-off (Stats Canada LICO) are eligible for funding. LICO is based on a sliding scale dependent on the size of the family. Proof of income and family size is required. |
