Description & Services
Description (Agency) Pre-apprenticeship training in welding skills, offering full time training programs and skills upgrading programs.
Description (Service) Qualification testing available: Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) and Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) testing conducted on a regular basis. Registered Training Programs (Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development) include: 
* General Welding Skills  
* Pipe Welding  
* Pipe Welding for Welders 
* Professional Pipe Welding Plus
Hours Shop hours Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm 
Office hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-2:30 pm 
Continuous intake - new students begin every Monday, space permitting
Areas Served Guelph ; Waterloo Region ; Wellington County ; Commutable outlying areas
Eligibility Ages: 18 year(s) and up 
Prerequisite for registered programs is a high school diploma or successful completion of a basic skills math test.  
Applicants without a high school diploma may call 519-837-9381 to make arrangements for the basic skills math test (no fees to complete math test)
Application Applications for all registered welding programs are completed by appointment - contact administration office 
Students wishing to participate in skills upgrading programs and/or testing may make arrangements by contacting info@ljpskills.ca

In addition to self funding and post secondary student loans, students may be able to access Second Career funding through the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development. Eligibility determined through local Employment Ontario offices. * Fee assistance available.
