| Description (Agency) | Social action organization that is part of a global movement working for social, economic, environmental and democratic justice. Guelph chapter currently focuses on Water, Climate Change. |
| Description (Service) | Educates and empowers people to hold governments and corporations accountable and advocates in support of social and democratic institutions. Campaigns are conducted in the following areas: clean water, fair trade, green energy, public health care, and democracy. The Council of Canadians does not accept money from corporations or governments. Work is sustained by volunteer energy and supporter donations. Local chapters are under the umbrella of the national organization. |
