Description (Service) | COVID-19 Update: * in-person registration not available; call or email to register only * all classes at St. George's Centre are online * a small number of in person classes for beginning levels are open at Tytler Centre * in-person classes may be changed to online classes if directed to do so by provincial government English language day and evening classes for adults: * English as a Second Language (ESL) * Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) Speciality classes (schedule varies, call for information): * academic test preparation * preparation for IELTS and TOEFL class * citizenship class * may offer other classes related to spoken and written English language development and skills training Childminding program for some LINC classes: * free childminding for children of landed immigrants, permanent residents and Convention refugees * contact St George's Centre for details ESL Summer School for students in Grades 7, 8 and Grades 9-12: * two weeks duration * apply through elementary or secondary school **Start dates for all day classes, night classes and Sat classes depend on enrollment numbers |
