Description & Services
Description (Service) Offers a variety of addiction treatment programs and services in the community utilizing a harm reduction philosophy. Community-based program and service options include:

* Community Withdrawal Support Service: set of services that offers an alternative to residential withdrawal management for individuals who can safely withdraw from alcohol and/or other drugs in a safe and supportive community environment

* The Rapid Access Addiction Clinic (RAAC): specialized medical clinic designed for people who are experiencing health issues related to their drug and/or alcohol use. People of all ages who are currently using substances are welcome at the clinic.The RAAC provides medical assessment, treatment, and stabilization through short term service, and patients are connected back to their primary care provider upon completion of their involvement

* Drug Treatment Court: specialized court process for non-violent offenders with addiction issues; program brings together judicial and social services who work with an offender towards positive change

* Let's Grow Together: half-day support group for women in the Guelph-Wellington community who are pregnant or parenting children (6 years and younger) and are dealing with substance use issues

* Specialized Addiction Support Coordination: support coordination for specialized populations (geriatric, acquired brain injury, developmental disability, complex mental health) living with addiction issues, as well as education and consultation to professionals working with these populations

* Specialized Outreach Services: integrated team of peers and professionals that offers flexible outreach services to homeless or street-involved individuals with addiction, mental health, or concurrent issues by providing supportive nursing and counselling, connections to a family doctor, and referrals to other community services

* Supportive Addiction and Mental Health Housing: support for people with complex addiction and concurrent mental health needs who are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless, or who are considered inadequately housed
