Description (Agency) Civilian, community-based organization that supports the objectives of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets program in collaboration with the Department of National Defence. Advances the education of Air Cadets and promotes an interest in the air component of the Canadian Armed Forces.
Description (Service) Local squadron that is part of the national program for young Canadians interested in participating in a variety of community activities while learning about the Canadian Forces * training in aviation studies, citizenship, leadership, outdoor survival, sports, drill, marksmanship * weekend trips and summer camps  
Air Cadets participate in training on a weekly basis during regular school year (usually one night a week), plus optional weekend training depending on interests.  
**Cadet Program is a federally-sponsored youth program that includes the Royal Canadian Army, Sea, and Air Cadets
