Description (Service) | COVID-19 Update: Due to public health precautions, the Community and Family Services office will open By Appointment Only. Appointments can be made by calling 519-836-9824 or by e-mailing familyservices@guelphsa.ca. All other walk-in services are closed until further notice. Services include: * emergency food hampers (no cash dispensed); bread, fresh produce * access to clothing, personal care products, small household items * diapers, baby food/items (if available) * emergency transportation vouchers * medical prescription vouchers (non-narcotic) * shelter aid program (rent and utility assistance) * counselling and referrals, crisis support * Christmas Hamper program Programs at 1320 Gordon St location: * Nursery School (Sep-Jun), Summer Day Camp (Jul), Loft Children's Library, Backpacks/School Supplies **In response to the growing need for assistance within the community, several Guelph churches, including The Salvation Army, have formed the CORE group (Guelph Churches Outreach Program) to address some of these needs on an emergency basis only. |
