Description (Agency) Self help peer support group for individuals challenged with mood disorders and the families and friends that support them.
Description (Service) COVID-19 Update: During the 2020 Pandemic outbreak, the Mood Disorders Support Group is holding virtual Peer Support Meetings. E-mail for details about the virtual meetings.

All-inclusive, self-help, peer support group for people challenged by mental illness and the families and friends that support them. Purposes include:
* to work with community partners
* meet and share experiences in support of one another
* inform and educate participants, mental health professionals, and the public
* eliminate discrimination and social stigma surrounding mental illness and mood disorders
Hours Support meetings held (with few exceptions) Tue 7 pm-9 pm
Areas Served Dufferin County ; Guelph ; Waterloo Region ; Wellington County
Eligibility People challenged with mood disorders; family members and support caregivers are welcome
Application Self-referral; referral through a doctor; referral from a friend; Canadian Mental Health Association
