Description (Service) COVID-19 Update: With all necessary health and safety measures in place, in-person criminal hearings including trials and preliminary inquiries which had been temporarily suspended on Oct 21, 2020, will resume at the Guelph courthouse (36 Wyndham St S) on Nov 2, 2020. Ontario Court of Justice oversees management of the criminal justice system:
* responsible for the conduct of prosecutions under federal and provincial statutes (including youth criminal hearings, Highway Traffic Act and Liquor Licence Act)
* represents the Crown in criminal appeals
* administers special programs such as Victim/Witness Assistance
