Description & Services
Description (Agency) Distributes groceries to people who are in need on a monthly basis or in emergency situations. Serving through justice and dignity is a priority of the organization.
Description (Service) COVID-19 Update: Clients are requested to call in their order. Volunteers will advise what items are available and orders will be packaged for pickup. Clients may come to the Food Bank to pick up their order or delivery can be arranged when necessary. 
 
Assistance with food, clothing and household items during monthly client visits  
* Christmas hamper and gift programs  
* referrals to other agencies and programs  
* cooking classes and volunteer opportunities  
* commercial kitchen shared with nonprofit groups 
 
Donation boxes for non-perishable food and household items located at Zehrs, Freshco and Walmart stores in Fergus. Donations also accepted at the food bank.
Hours COVID-19 -- Hours remain the same at this time. Phone messages and e-mails are monitored from the Food Bank and remotely in order to quickly address any food emergencies. 
 
Regular hours Tue, Thu 10 am-4 pm * Wed 10 am-1 pm, 5 pm-7:30 pm * Fri 10 am-1 pm 
Client appointment hours Tue, Thu 1 pm-4 pm * Wed 5 pm-7:30 pm 
 
**Food donations may be dropped off during regular hours

Eligibility Applicant must provide:  
* source of income documents  
* proof of residency in Township of Centre Wellington (two items) 
* photo ID

Application Application process: call first or drop in; new clients are encouraged to call for an appointment  
Frequency: clients must register to attend the food bank once a month 
 
**Clients may drop in for fresh bread, produce and homemade soups (when available) any time food bank is open * call ahead to determine availability
