|Description (Service)||Specialized shared-ride transit service from accessible-door-to-accessible-door within City limits.
* drivers assist wheelchair passengers via wheelchair accessible ramps from street level door to street level door
* walking assistance provided to ambulatory passengers
* first come first call basis
* pick-up / return rides must be booked at same time
* bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance - may be made up to seven days in advance
* last minute bookings accepted before 12 noon the day before
* trips requested for weekends and following Mon must be made on Fri before 12 noon
Passengers are responsible for having someone assist them if there is more than one step at pick-up location or destination. Drivers may not enter a building past second set of doors. It is the passenger's responsibility to determine if location is accessible before booking a ride.
NOTE: Passengers will be notified if service delivery will be by taxi rather than by a Mobility Services vehicle. Taxis used only in times of urgency.
**This is a shared-ride transportation service ; trips may take up to 40-55 minutes in length

|Eligibility||For physically challenged persons with mobility impairment
* no age restriction
* must be unable to climb or descend steps
* unable to walk distance of 175 metres
* unable to use conventional transit
Individuals who are elderly, visually impaired, have epilepsy or mental / developmental disability may be eligible for service only if they have a physical disability that prevents use of public transit vehicles. This is an Ontario Ministry of Transportation regulation.
|Application||Application must be filled out by physician and applicant. Guelph Transit does not charge an application fee for Mobility Services. Allow up to 14 days for processing.|
|Fees||Service ; Cash fares $3 (exact fare) each way per person (passengers and attendants) * tickets and passes may be used * Guelph Transit current fare structure is posted online at guelph.ca/living/getting-around/bus/fares-and-passes
Note: City of Guelph Personal Assistant for Leisure Access (PAL) Card is valid fare on Mobility Services - issued to the person with a disability, the PAL Card allows accompaniment by a friend, relative or support person as an attendant at no additional cost.
**Registered Mobility Services passengers who are also registered with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), hold a Guelph Transit Veterans Pass, or are under five years of age, ride free of charge.
