Description (Agency) | Organizes regular hikes on various trails throughout the year, offering hiking in all seasons. |
Description (Service) | Maintains two rural walking trails and related side trails. Trails are not intended for bicycle or other vehicle use * local and non-local hikes * led by certified leaders * Radial Line Trail mostly follows an abandoned electric railway line from the east side of Guelph, through the valley of the Eramosa River to the Bruce Trail near Limehouse * Speed River Trail begins at the west side of Guelph and follows the Speed River to Cambridge, at Black Bridge Rd Maintains a multi-use trail on an abandoned railway line, the Kissing Bridge Trailway, from Guelph (Silvercreek Parkway N and County Rd 30) to West Montrose. Responsible for building and maintaining rural trails between the Grand Valley (Fergus, Elora, Cambridge) on the west and the Bruce Trail (Limehouse - near Acton) on the east * club built the Starkey Loop Trail on Starkey Hill near Arkell, which is now maintained by the Guelph Hiking Trail Club |
