| Description (Service) | COVID-19 Update: Visitor restrictions are in place at both Louise Marshall Hospital and Palmerston and District Hospital in an effort to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission. Restrictions include: one visitor is allowed to accompany emergency patients and youth 18 years and younger. One visitor at a time is allowed for palliative and obstetrical patients. All visitors will be screened by hospital staff upon arrival. Do not visit if you are feeling unwell. The Foundation office is closed until further notice -- e-mail and voicemail will continue to be monitored regularly, and mail sent via Canada Post will be collected once per week; tax receipts will be delayed until the crisis has passed. Fully accredited community hospital with a rated bed capacity of 15 inpatient beds serving the health care needs of approximately 15,000 people within the hospital's catchment area. Offers a range of primary and secondary services including 24 hour emergency services, inpatient and outpatient care, specialist clinics and supportive diagnostic services. The hospital has an active staff complement of nine Family Practitioners as well as consulting staff in general surgery, internal medicine, radiology, anesthesiology, pathology, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics and ENT (ear, nose and throat). |
