Description & Services
Description (Agency) Provides animal control and shelter services for the City of Guelph, and Townships of Guelph-Eramosa and Centre Wellington. Intake facility for Township of Puslinch.
Description (Service) Programs include: 
* sheltering and adoption of stray or unwanted animals  
* helping lost animals return home  
* wildlife care and assistance  
* dog licensing 
* cat registration 
* pet visitation  
* humane education  
* animal by-law enforcement  
* animal distress and / or cruelty investigations  
* March Break and summer camp children's programs 
DocuPet program - online licensing system that allows pet owners to register both dogs and cats with the Guelph Humane Society. Pet registrations may be purchased online at Guelph DocuPet or in person at Guelph Humane Society or Service Guelph. If a dog is microchipped, spayed or neutered, or is a service dog, supporting documentation must be provided. If the pet is a service dog, registration must be done in person. 
NOTE: Cats are not licensed but may be voluntarily registered online. 
All adopted dogs and cats are required to be spayed / neutered
Hours Mon-Fri 9 am-6 pm, Thu 6 pm-8 pm, Sat 9 am-5 pm, Sun 10 am-4 pm * last Wed of each month 12:30 pm-6 pm 
Animal Viewing Mon-Fri 11 am-5:30 pm, Thu 5:30 pm-7:30 pm, Sat 11 am-4:30 pm, Sun 11 am-3:30 pm

Eligibility Volunteers 14-15 years must volunteer with adult volunteer * volunteers 16-18 years must have parent / guardian permission * police records check required for volunteers working with children
