Description & Services
Description (Agency) Coordinating and facilitating body that supports and promotes arts, culture and heritage.
Description (Service) Services and programs include: 
* online events calendar  
* member directory  
* historical walking tours and Doors Open Guelph  
* advocacy to support role of arts in community life  
* consultation for individuals and groups developing arts-related projects 
* Fete Romantique annual fundraiser 
 
Guelph Arts Council walking tours are offered on selected Sundays, Apr-Oct. There are six tours: 
* Where Guelph Began 
* Downtown Walkabout 
* The Slopes of the Speed 
* Altar and Hearth 
* Brooklyn and the College Hill 
* Ward One Guelph
Hours Office hours Tue-Fri 10 am-4 pm 
* walking tours begin at 2 pm at different locations and take approximately two hours to complete 
* Annual General Meeting in May

Eligibility For Membership: 
* Businesses/NPOs: must operate generally in Guelph and Wellington County and be supportive of Arts and Heritage 
* Artist-run Businesses: must operate a business engaged in Arts or Heritage endeavours or pursuits, excluding the sale of Arts or Heritage supplies and equipment; must be primarily in Guelph and Wellington County 
* Individual Artists: must be an artist or arts worker residing in Guelph or Wellington County actively practicing Arts or Heritage endeavours or pursuits 
* Arts and Heritage Organizations: must operate generally in Guelph or Wellington County and operate as a not-for-profit group or association, governed by a board / committee of community representatives; must also actively encourage practicing artists or be engaged in Arts or Heritage endeavours or pursuits
