Description & Services
Description (Service) Accessibility Services coordinator is the contact for accessibility services for the City of Guelph, from recreation to buildings and services. 
 
This department works in the following areas: 
 
* access issues related to municipal services (transportation, access to facilities, etc.) 
* Affordable Bus Pass 
* Free Parking Pass for Persons with a Disability 
* Disability Group Rental Subsidies 
* Personal Assistant for Leisure Activities card (PAL)  
* staff support to the:  
Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC): assists City in developing Municipal Accessibility Plan under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (Provincial Acts ODA and AODA);  
Advisory Committee: monitors community access such as accessibility of City facilities, programs and services; acts as a resource to city staff regarding issues that affect persons with a disability. 
Guelph Barrier Free Committees which consist of: 
Education Committee: acts as a resource for businesses, organizations and individuals regarding disabilities 
Advisory Committee: monitors community access such as physical accessibility of private business and acts as a resource to the community
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm (4 pm, Jul-Aug) 
 
Accessibility Advisory Committee meets six times a year. See the website or call for details and meeting schedule.
