Description & Services
Description (Agency) Civilian, community-based organization that supports the objectives of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets program in collaboration with the Department of National Defence. Advances the education of Air Cadets and promotes an interest in the air component of the Canadian Armed Forces.
Description (Service) Local squadron that is part of the national program for young Canadians interested in participating in a variety of community activities while learning about the Canadian Forces * training in aviation studies, citizenship, leadership, outdoor survival, sports, band, drill, marksmanship * weekend trips and summer camps 
Air Cadets participate in training on a weekly basis during regular school year (usually one night a week), plus optional weekday training depending on interests. 
Parents are encouraged to be involved in the unit as civilian volunteers (assisting with the program) or as part of the sponsoring committee. 
**Cadet Program is a federally-sponsored youth program that includes the Royal Canadian Army, Sea, and Air Cadets 
**There will be no overnight activities in the 2020/21 activity year
Hours Parade Tue 6:45 pm-9 pm, Sep-Jun 
Squadron Sponsoring Committee meets monthly at the Legion: usually the last Wed of each month

Eligibility Ages: 12 year(s) - 18 year(s) 
Cadets may remain part of the unit until the day before their 19th birthday, whereupon they will age out of the program.
Application Registration every Tue 6:30 pm 
New cadets interested in joining must attend with a parent or legal guardian in order to receive an application package (if attending without a parent or guardian, will not be allowed to stay) 
**The unit is working on going digital with paperwork and will be putting registration forms on the website

Fees None - squadron training activities ; Ontario Provincial Committee Assessment Fee $65 payable to the squadron.  
* each cadet is asked to sell one book of Ontario Provincial Committee (OPC) Lottery Tickets in support of the Provincial Gliding Program $60  
* all training activities are supported by the Department of National Defense (DND) at no charge to the cadet  
* uniforms supplied by DND  
* extra non-DND funded activities are financially supported by the Squadron Sponsoring Committee
