Description (Agency) Specialized treatment programs for children and youth with complex needs.
Description (Service) Treatment programs for children and youth who have experienced trauma resulting from abuse, abandonment or neglect and those with mental health concerns, behavioural disorders, emotional issues and developmental challenges.

Residential Group Homes:
Specialized Services (rural location) - medium, long-term and emergency placements for adolescent girls with high needs * day treatment program for local teens * on-site classrooms and school placements * Horizons Program: (Guelph) - individual and group programming * life skills programs * Lighthouse Program (rural location) - program for residents with mental health issues, dual diagnoses, Autism Spectrum Disorder

Foster Care:
Specialized foster homes providing care, treatment and supervision for children and youth who benefit from a low-stimulation environment

Eligibility Ages: 4 year(s) - 19 year(s) 
Avalon Specialized Services - adolescent girls, ages 12-18 
Horizons Program - mixed genders, ages 13-18 
Lighthouse Program - mixed genders, ages 4-14
Application Placement workers to submit referral package for review; pre-placement visit includes potential candidate, youth's social worker and family members (if applicable).
