| Description | Free tax preparation clinics for those unable to complete their income tax and benefit return themselves and are unable to pay for assistance. Where indicated, call ahead to book an appointment at the desired location. **Clinics listed below are offered through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) of Canada Revenue Agency. | Sup. Description | The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) is a collaboration between the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and community organizations. The organizations host tax preparation clinics and arrange for volunteers to prepare tax returns for individuals who have low income and a simple tax situation. The CRA offers training and tax software for the volunteers as well as a network of CVITP coordinators to guide community organizations as they deliver the program.
